Fifth Street Partners is looking for one great business to buy and grow over the long term.

Our objective

Phil Taylor and Brad Eckert founded Fifth Street Partners with the goal of providing great businesses owners a path to transition their business with an attractive succession opportunity. We aim to collaborate with businesses to provide long-term solutions for operational continuity and financial needs.

The right business for us

We’re on the lookout for a thriving business with strong fundamentals, in the range of $5 million to $30 million in enterprise value, with EBITDA margins greater than 15%, and robust recurring revenue.

Our ideal scenario involves the current owner transitioning a majority equity position and the Fifth Street team coming in to lead going forward. This is a great opportunity for Fifth Street’s leaders to use our go-to-market expertise and management skills to fuel growth.

We’re particularly excited about businesses with positive momentum. Our background in operating software companies gives us a keen interest in vertical SaaS, business-to-business services, or tech-enabled services in burgeoning markets. We’re eager to find a business that aligns with these criteria and embark on a journey of growth together.
